The mission of the Museum of American Porcelain Art is to preserve, collect, and foster an appreciation for American porcelain art, including its historic lineage and contemporary form, through exhibits, educational programming and scholarly research.
The Museum of American Porcelain Art will become the world’s most comprehensive collection of American porcelain art and as such a popular destination and vital part of the cultural and educational amenities that Greater Cleveland offers residents and visitors. MAPA will be known as the most complete repository and best place to view and do research on the artwork of a special strand of American porcelain artists who worked in the mid-20th century and whose distinct style came to an end with the lives of those very artists.
The Museum of American Porcelain Art is open to the general public at listed times and welcomes requests for private or group tours. The Museum also welcomes inquiries about donations, including donations of collections. Please contact us for more information.
